Re-made the normal map and the entire texture. Also fixed the normal map for the bricks. Still need to add hinges, a door handle and tweak the diffuse a bit more.
Demoode that turtle looks awesome, it reminds me of a wallpaper I saw today teasing a old forgotten TMNT. Working on a tileable brick texture, does the spec look alright on this?
You really should not have done that with the bricks, you could have gotten a better, more optimized result using a texture with displacement, it would have saved you time and polys.
Looks good man. Did you use a tiling texture for the bricks? Or did you place each one on the highpoly? Also it would be cool to see some wires for my own reference.
SaferDan, I like it man. you've definitely got that look of modern transplanted onto old. got any plans for the brick building? some decals/vertex blended grime could look sweet.
Working on a new workflow, trying to combined pre-baked mesh into only one (render done in UDK and Marmoset). The geometry on the bricks is too high but I was lazy to redo it properly (since it's just a test). :poly136:
Awesome stuff going on, absolutely great things are happening. Here's a brick texture I sculpted from scratch and textured with some various custom brushes and 1-2 image overlays. Looking for some feedback please!
Two things for you, 1) Dang I left for an hour or so and you finished it, sheesh. Glad to see you got rid of that brick floor too. 2) For me, I'm still working on my Viper. XPOST
Sexy robots Rayph! For the guys who wanted to have a look at these procedural dungeon tiles and bricks, you can download them now from Filter Forge: http://www.filterforge.com/filters/10857.html :) Here's another demo:
Hey thanks Benji! Yeah I plan to vertex paint that badboy up! The brick isnt actually textured yet I was just messing with colours to try and it not repeat as little as I can with vertex paint before I used it!
