A little something I threw together this weekend. Mostly a texture showcase. 100% hand-painted, stylized, etc etc. Built in UDK. Edit: Yeesh, reeeallly need to work on some lighting exercises.
Fingus: Thanks, bro! And wow, seriously one of the best stylized characters I've seen in ages! jramauri: APOGHADOGLDAGADGLAGADG HOLY HANNA MONTANA THAT'S GOD TIER AWESOME. Thank you so much for showing this to me!
ScudzAlmighty - nice stylization there. willy-wilson - Looks good. You can get a detail map with a wood texture onto your normal maps and give it a bit more 'pop'. Otherwise, looking good. Coming together.
Comments and crits welcome. It' supposed to be slightly stylized but even so I feel I haven't quite grasped the anatomy yet, specially around the eyes and the ears. Still happy with the result though. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q42pZarWzuo[/ame]
YES! lovely work as usual but the teeth is bothering me. i know it is stylized but if you atleast make the separations more angular than round it would look better imo. this will also help contrast the sharp dangerous teeth from the more organic flesh areas.
Quoting this to bring it to the next page, awesome work!!!!!! :poly142: You should do some sort of texture tutorial or at least choosing a solid colour pallete tutorial, seems like each of your pieces have colours that work so well together. Fits the stylized look as well :)
I needed a distraction from all of the realistic textures and high poly modeling and baking... so I went and did my first stylized hand painted tiling wood texture... I was trying to go for a light water color wash look with soft wood grain texture.
working on stylized versions of San Francisco's Alamo Square Painted Ladies, the base mesh is pretty much complete, I'll have to add some of the uniqueness in a little bit. Removed Ref I know there's only 5 in my screenshot... I have to clean up the base mesh first...
Biofrost- I feel that the wear and tear is too uniform across the hard edges you have in place. To me, those would seam like areas that would have different wear and tear because of their angles. Nice progress. My humble attempt at handpainting wood, with obligatory stylized knots...
Looks great and thanks for the matcap I love it!!! :) Here is my 2 cents Could not help but start something new even while I have projects left unfinished!! Just over 2 hrs for this guy. Good fun :) Might make a full stylized solider like one of these guys
