So, first let me say this is better than anything I could do, but my main issue with this is that only the area around the face seems to be completely in focus (i'm not sure if this is a depth of field thing)- everything else reads as softer to me. I think it would read better if you had a few more areas that were equally…
I agree number 2 seems the most realistic, I think the others are to small sharp and evenly spaced. working on the aston martin rapide highpoly, still lots of stuff to add/adjust. Wheels and rims are placeholder.
@Kio Nice axe! Looks nice and chunky. If I could throw a crit out there. It could just be the angle of picture, but the sharp edge feels a little blunt. Maybe adding a brighter colour along the edge will make it 'pop' more
I love the character but not the spoon. There's so many polies in the bowl of the spoon. Do you think you could spare some to smooth out the edges? The sharp, low-poly edges of that spoon really detract from everything else :(
josh: killer....not feeling as sharp as the hiroshi character though Neox and swizzle : great head and ace paintover....I feel like I have stolen some learnings from you both. More demoncentaurimpthing fun from me :)
YES! lovely work as usual but the teeth is bothering me. i know it is stylized but if you atleast make the separations more angular than round it would look better imo. this will also help contrast the sharp dangerous teeth from the more organic flesh areas.
Yeah Hal, those edges are too sharp, they won't read when you bake it into a lowpoly. Also the texture feels awkward, lots of colors, and the small bits could probably be baked in the texture of the table or a floating plane. Just my 2 cents, anyway :P (lol)
AltusZMH> Think about how the scratches ended up there. Give them a reason and a story. You can't have one continuous scratch going across 270 degree angles unless someone sat down took a sharp object and carefully added them with great detail :)
Happy Halloween Polycount! This is a little League of Legends skin I did for Leaguecraft's Spookycraft Contest Also @breakneck: Hot shield, I still need to get fork over my 20 and get Murph's texture tutorial T_T I think that will be taking up my weekend ;-) Also if anyone has the time, can you PM me which beauty shot I…
still working in idea for the ceiling and the remaining bits of the floor. was thinking glass with some pipes running underneath or a grate with some pipes underneath. though that could be a while from now i want to do some LP's and test bakes since i got a feeling that some of my edges are too sharp to effect the normal…
