SsSandu_C: I see what you mean. But what if you hold shift and want to select the object behind? As in the current solution, you can undo the selection if it selects the wrong object, then click to select again, eventually you will get what you want. Edit: Maybe I should add an option for this.
The new edge ring/loop selection are very welcome and work well, except for ring select, you can't form a path with it without selecting whole rings. And loop select should be working like that for polygons. I like the tool group addition in customize tools ! And thanks for edge break, very useful.
Actually it's quite reasonable that Silo users are here. I forgot to mention I was banned for criticizing NC, as well. I was a customer and I am not a bad person. :) Silo is great, but VW is better IMHO. Just a bit more performance and subD polishing. @IStonia no luck it is showing only 4 selections in the undo stack, but the edge i used to shift+loop select the 2nd loop is deselected after i shift+double click it. i either need to select the problem edge first than doable click it, or i need to doable click and than select the edge.
I think it selects only the polygons that have ALL surrounding edges selected. Might be useful in some cases, but the names of two methods are very similar, I admit. "Polygon inside selection" will do it for me in most cases. Over here paint selection tool does select through, when dealing with edges and vertices.I noticed…
