@RN , @GhostDetector : I am happy to report that I got it to work. Line 36 of the code put me on the right path, and this thread https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/24766/zbrush-4r6-released (msorrel post) made it clear : for some reason GoZBrushFromApp.exe was simpky not on my system, its disappearance likely caused…
The big advantage of the Blender sculpting tools is their seamless integration with a regular 3d modeling workflow. For instance, you can be working on a regular subdivision model and adjust the forms of the base cage with brushes like smooth, pinch or inflate - and then go back to modeling. Boolean operations (Booltool)…
nah, dunno the sculpting in zbrush feels way better (once you get used to the thing they call ui) iam dont really have THAT much experience with sculpting in blender, just the ocasional doodle, but i dont think blender beats zbrush in any area in the sculpting department (correct me if iam wrong) but i have seen some crazy…
Yep, that's it. Or at least, from the Zbrush example it looks like it You can even hide the objects you used in the Cap from the viewport, they will be displayed anyway.
That's not what I'm saying, I never thought it'd be better than ZBrush, since ZBrush has been around for well over a decade and is devoted to sculpting exclusively. I'm just wondering in what specific ways it's worse than ZBrush. I think it might have potential in the future. I know it is better in a couple areas though.…
When multi res sculpting, subdivisions eats the volume of the mesh. In zbrush, with morph targets people can avoid that shrinkage. They save a morph target and divide the mesh, then they go back to the morph target, with this way they preserve their first vertex positions of non-divided mesh. So that way vertex positions…
Anyone here use Blender for sculpting? Or in particular did sculpting in both Zbrush and Blender? I have always been sculpting in Zbrush, but thought I'd try it out in Blender, seeing as I use it for practically everything else. One thing bugs me A LOT though. My eyes can't seem to get the right feedback for any sculpting…
