Ok so I'm playing around with using the node editor to modify my vertex colors, and I've realized this is probably the best way to do the vertex color modifications I want. Does any blenderhead know of a way I could use the results of the node's modifications to the vertex colors and overwrite my current vertex colors? I'm…
Hi guys, Is there an equivalent tool in blender ? I tried to duplicate and separate an edge loop then convert it to curve but it's not smooth. When i convert points of the curve to bezier it is not the same as 3dsmax and nurbs sucks and do not retain some points. Or maybe it is possible to send my spline to blender ?
3dsMax will give you the exact same result, it's due to the geometry you trying to extrude. Here what I would do (probably someone have a better solution thoug) : The fact that you can't access the custom orientation inside the extrude tool is quite annoying :/
If you use the Blender 2012 Experimental key bindings you can delete without a dialog, I don't know what black magic they did to make that work :P I was using the 3dsmax keybindings for a while but I'm really enjoying the Experimental ones a lot now.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but using the normal rotate/pan/zoom is not enough to match perspective to objects that are inclined, like pic related's gun. What other tools would you use to match perspective? Is there anything like 3dsMax' perspective lines? EDIT: fspy seems pretty awesome!
The Code Quest has started and here is the workboard for it, pretty exciting. https://developer.blender.org/project/board/80/ @thomasp I think maybe @kio was referring to this add-on I requested a year ago, it mimics 3dsmax behavior toggle on/off wire + all edges for all objects in the scene, I made it bind to F4 by…
To align vertices, it's easier to use the "active point"( the active point is the last point you select) as pivot point : Then it's just S + "0" as it has be said already. "Active point", "3d cursor", "snap tool" are singular compare to 3dsmax but if you learn them well and try things with them, your productivity will…
Non-Windows users will not be able to run it either and I agree with you @pior that the external .exe can be an issue in an corporate IT environment. Much better than the default still, for those who are looking for a free add-on. Looks like it has been around for 3dsmax and was recently ported to Blender. The dev is…
Long time lurker here, haven't really kept up with Blender for a long time now. But correct me if I'm wrong, this Miter Bevelling is basically what Quad-Chamfer is in 3DSMax, right..? If so, that's bloody awesome, the Blender bevel modifier is something I've had a gripe with for ages! Even went as far as trying to use my…
I NEVER use live unwrap. But I think Blender uv skills are pretty high-level especially compared to 3Dsmax, I have not deep experience with maya, but I remember that you need a script also to move/scale/rotate the uvs precisely, in Blender at least you can put exact numbers during the transfomration and use the cursor as…
