That's awesome, TekK. I made a really simple Unity shader that blends textures based on vertex colors, but I've been painting them in 3dsmax. What technique are you using to get the hard edges between the textures?
Something that i have recently started learning, HLSL Shader for 3dsmax. Here is my first attempt at post process shader, Night Vision and Thermal Vision. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXxdq_mFAzg[/ame]
I guess its one way to familiarize oneself with blender ;) and I think I would do the same. Just create a panel in python that mimics many of the great features in 3dsMax and then slowly dive into the blender world
I can't remember what it was doing at time I uploaded that video. But I did fix it indeed change it so that it would only send the data after the transformation was done. So moving objects in 3dsmax was fast. But even then, 3dsmax 2011 and 2012 were still slow. Strangely enough, with 2009 and 2010 it went really, really…
Anyone remember this script I posted about back in 2018? Well I've been working on it again and finally finished it up. Made a thread for it over here: https://polycount.com/discussion/226809/3dsmax-unchamfer-pro-released#latest
Hey, nice tools : ) I worked on a bridge to quickly send model(s) from 3dsMax to Substance Painter (quickly export/set what is needed). More information here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2283794#post2283794
It feels like Maya has more new scripts than 3DSMax :-) Let us Max users enjoy some unique scripts like Octopus menu. We already feel like everyone is giving up on Max, while it's still awesome!
My new maxscript tool : a level builder inspired by starcraft editor. Very easy to use for level-designers and environment artists. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg9T-Tp-oFE"]New MaxScript tool : Starcraft Editor in 3dsmax - YouTube[/ame]
... double post.. Edit - May as well make use of the glitched double post. Made a wireframe tutorial with mental ray - been using this a while so thought I'd share with anyone who hasn't yet discovered the material override thing in 3dsmax. [ Link ]
I'm working on recreating Blenders transform system in 3DSMax: Almost done creating the basic move/grab part for objects, including snapping. Still a ways from release, but what with all the hype around Blender lately I thought a few people might be interested. :)
