raven your paintings lately have been absolutly ki11er great stuff man. Funky bunnies: killer work, the bones on that thing make it for me great stuff, also i believe that is a 7 1/2 tapus .
@Cortes: new to max 2009 or new to max at all? nice robot.. though i would be careful on the placement of rust, make it more believable. and if the blue parts are that rusty, chances are they wouldnt be so shinny would they? neither would the chrome spheres. imho
thanks doods. yeah i posted it up anyway. and i encourage anyone else to do the same before the evening is over. i believe Emil is being more than kind and allowing anyone that submits within the monday evening threshold a chance. very kind indeed.
I've been told that the construction of this object isn't believable enough, mainly because of the construction and burlap sacks. The sacks shouldn't be difficult to fix, but the construction is what I'm most concerned about. Any suggestions? *the environment for this object is a Middle Eastern style bazaar. By daowg at…
Catstyle - That is looking amazing already! What shader did you end up using? I love the details on the shoes - it gives for a really nice, believable aged leather look. RUZ - Your animation stuff is really coming along nicely :) and the new character is looking cool so far.
I posted this on the reference thread.. but i dont think anyone notices that anymore. so i think i can post it here.. no? Does anyone know of a website with cool references for this gun? Big images and from diferent angles :D i believe it's from Accuracy International manufacturer

Yes, there was a lot of tweeking in photoshop, but the rust is a result of around 5 - 10 photo sourced textures used as overlays and other various layer styles . . .etc. etc.
Thanks. It's all from one sphere except for the hands, so 3 spheres total. The hoses are simply just pulled out of the bottom of the leg and inserted back at the top. It's not a perfect technique, but for a rough concept it works alright. commander_keen - I believe this is fixed now. The program seems much faster and…
Thanks. I used some leaf brushes to get the base leafy look down first then painted over them adding lighting and other details til they looked more believable. @Fireflights - Nice paintover, I like the little smirk you gave her too. Not sure if your name is related to the band Fireflight or not, but they're awesome.
Racer i don't know if you saw but i will be donating some cashola once i finish up this crazy emotional rollercoaster. the most important part of your tutorial? the part where i learned to believe in myself. Blackula: absolutely stoked about where that is going, really one of the most fun characters I've seen in a while.…
