A rigged, animated mesh could be exported from maya with the supplied plugin(maya 7, 8 or 9(2008)). I cant tell you exactly how to do this, but i think someone else got animation into toolbag at one point earlier in the thread.
There are exporters for maya 7, 8 and 2008(9), only 32 bit. If you want animation you need to use one of those versions. You can easily just rig up your mesh in maya, and export a single frame pose as an obj, however.
hey guys i have a reall big and probably stupid problem. i mirrored quiet a view uv shells. i had to flip those mirrored uv's and turn on mirror u in maya. so it can show up propperly the normalmaps same as the diffuse. now i found out about this crazy awesome program, but as it seems it doesn't like my mirrored uv's here…
hi EarthQuake, my maya 8.5 crash after i copied the marmoset stooge exporter to the plugins folder, and can't be open anymore, even after i delete the stooge exporter file, do you know what happen? or should i try it with maya 2009? really appreciate your help :)
