OOOo i love that card muz. Show us a picture of you holding it! that would be so cool. Started work on another BIZZZNATCH. About 2 days work. Will be going for a semi-realistic thing. Awaiting for the artist to approve (its actually a pretty big project if we can all come to an understanding *fingers crossed*)
Hi Maria001, welcome to Polycount :) This is pretty cool although it looks like you're using photosourced textures for the turtle shell, and not for the shells / starfish on its back... the styles don't quite match up - I would either go one route or the other and make it all realistic or all slightly more cartoony. I've never made any modular assets before, so I thought I'd give this tutorial a shot and see how I do. I probably should've made the blocks more even so they look more realistic and tile better, but I guess I know that for next time now. And the textures are... meh. Whatever; it was a learning experience.
Awesome PolyHertz! :D @ Japhir Looks great but I think you should better make only a few stylized contrasty wrinkles or make no wrinkles at all because now they are going more in a realistic direction but then again I am not sure what you aiming for. @ leilei Looks good to me, only the blocky hard edge smoothing at the…
If you are referring to the sunk in side of the head, then that is just cause I didn't get to work that other than laying out the poly flow. I am not worried about anatomy (this guy isn't suppose to look realistic, though if his ears and stuff are off then that is another matter), I am just trying to get the idea of poly…
lol just in time for another update Cleaned up smoothing errors in stock for the most part added tactical grip attachment extended barrel fluted barrel, just for looks next up: make proper rails, mine are not realistic make attachments like laser pointer add smaller scope on top of sniper scope to make it more futuristic…
Hey everybody - great work going on as always. I've not done anything realistic for a while so I thought I better have a go at a likeness to keep my eye in with this stuff. It's another character from the Wire - everyone's favourite stick-up guy, Omar Little. I'm still working on it and I'm planning to do a textured,…
adamlewis: Great stuff. I've noticed with a lot of your sculpts that you give your more realistic characters fairly small eyes. Any specific reason, or just stylistic choice? MikeF: Looking good so far, though the plants look a little out of place because there isn't anything else like them in the scene yet. I take it…
I have no reason to try to get "lucky"...as it being obvious by us already having a child with another on the way. She is a photographer, I do more digital stuff...I'm using my talents(or lack there of) to imitate her's. Some would call that flattery. People paint duplicates of portraits all the time, regardless of medium.…
Japhir, 3DRyan, butt_sahib: thanks konstruct: thanks a lot! ...Buuuut I'm not sure I agree. I find myself constantly surprised at how short most real people are, and those are 20th century people (I imagine fancy hat people to be shorter, ancient diet and all that). It's not the first time that I make proportions of which…
