Ain't much to copy, really. You push a line in, you pull out on either side of it, wrinkles magically appear! I think I'm overdoing them, though; his cap looks more like a rubber swimming cap than leather. I probably ought to ease up on the wrinkles a bit. Here's a teeny little update:
Sweet ThatDon, but I think his jawline is too strong, the chin is too big, and his upper eyelids are too curved. Walken has a sort of menacing look, but you lose that in the eyes. If you drop the upper eyelids down a bit, push in the lower curvature of the eyelids a tad and shrink his chin you'll get a lot closer.
Why not keep the WAYWO 2008 thread stickied so that it remains up top for easy viewing regardless of it being locked out. If it is un-stickied and goes back into the general population post it will just be pushed down into oblivion to never be seen again. It'd be nice to have it kinda in one fixed place for archiving to…
I actually agree with this. The original has something that my paintover doesn't, though I'll be damned if I know what it is. Maybe if, instead of 'fixing' all the little issues, you push some of them even further so that the entire thing has some super distortion going on. I dunno. I sorta kinda agree with rollin though.…
Yep, one way to enhance the crisp feeling is to use some concrete textures desaturate it 100%, push the contrast and use it has stencil in zbrush on the chipped (right word ?) off parts. For the "holes", you should think where the block may be inpacted, a big hole right in the mass is unlikely, contrary to an edge impact.…
nice dude, Mathorne! you got some serious style my friend. this guy's arms and hands need some thing to make it jive with the rest of the character better. i was thinking maybe skinnier fingers or push the dynamics on his arm, longer fingernails, rock'n rings, or something. nothing too much, but something to tie them to…
:O You can have working multi bit alpha on characters in UDK? Is that a standard shader or one you made yourself as when I was working with UE3 multi-bit alpha on characters was a no-go. The top version looks great but it looks like the outer planes aren't sorting properly - getting rid of them and pushing the planes…
I love your style so much Renaud! Cant wait to see him finished off... I cleaned up my war general a bit for my own sake, think ill call it a day at this - although i could push it further and add more ickle details I dont really think it'll add too much and im happy with the colours and theme.
lots of really awesome art eraser that model is awesome, the render really makes the elements pop! bored your materials look really interesteing. AJR that scene is looking nice, the fog looks like it's washing out stuff too much up close. Maybe if you push the start dist of the fog back a bit it'll help separate your…
n88tr: you might want to take a closer look at some real world rifle designs, specifically the breech/bolt size and position. You mentioned that you adjusted the size of the magazine to fit the bullets, but the breech needs to be larger so the shell casings can be ejected as well. Also it should probably be positioned more…
