Well.. i wonder what makes you think so.. also Blenders does have this feature to check the distortion of a mesh to check which polygons aren't coplanar.. and as long as someone keeps extruding and scaling in a "proper" way.. i think there is no problem.. (additional mesh to show distortion.. and pulling the minimum to 0…
^ Blaken: The Graphite modeling tools included since Max '10 have some tools you might be able to use, namely Flow connect and Set Flow .. i'm guessing they check out face angles of neighboring faces and interpolate. or something.
EQ, that last .gif I get it mostly which is surprising to me but anyways after all the chambers are in there and you added those faces and duplicated that all around the open face how did you create those faces before duplicating them? Like did you use a plane and had the same amount of verts on the edges and then attached…
Unless I'm mistaken, trying to make a non-axis-aligned face planar by eye is not humanly possible... Yes! It's MODO 801. I tried this method before with a different model and it did make the selected surface planar but it also made some surrounding faces non-planar because of the way it moved the vertices around. Is there…
