Strangely enough it seems to error out on the base mesh i used to paint in mudbox as well, unless i save it out as .lwo from modo isntead of .obj(from anything, modo, maya or mudbox) so.... some strange obj error?! i dunno. I sent you an email with a link to the file.
Jeff is getting an error when trying to generate a normal map with our custom mesh importer. He loaded in the custom mesh file and once he tries to generate a normal map, it loads the high poly, then the low, then spits out an error about the mesh set being void. The mesh set isn't void, though.
[ QUOTE ] Hey, question... Where's the problem when it gives this error: 'Unexpected error rendering the triangles for maps' And how to fix it? [/ QUOTE ] Hard to say. Need more info: When and where happens that? xNormal version? OS and HW config? Screenshots? What says the xNormal_debug.txt on MyDocuments\xNormal? Can you…
When baking derivative maps I keep getting an error about the value not being within minimum and maximum range (see attachment). Depending on the mesh, the reported value has been anywhere between ~40 and ~220. Tried baking with low-poly in FBX and SBM (using OBJ as high-poly) and get the same error. Any ideas?
Ahhhh I understand now.. weld UV's with very equal values with certain error.. I am making that though ( specifically error atm is 0.0001 ) but only form some file formats. But yep yep good idea! I think just need to use a higher one and use it in all mesh file types. Will test it, thx!
Trying to bake an ambient occlusion map with the Simple ambient occlusion generator results in a humanly unreadable error. After the baking is done and the map has been saved to disk xNormal just throws an error box at me with the name of the file extension - .tga or .tif for example. No further information are given -…
