a single 256² including the rockets should be plenty. Even a single 128² should suffice, but it'd require some trickery and such. For now, keep it simple and aim for a 256².
it's a tank on a grass it's got bad uvmap on a pair of 32x32s just a 3dfart in 40 mins total, including the grass i couldn't turn off the bilinear filter in time.
My attempt at making a low poly shield, it is 88 tris including the shield handle on the back :),sorry it is a picture i dont know how to use the 3d viewer thingy.
awesome!!!!!! I thought it was going to include more of that highlighted outermost edge. could you tell a noob why you didnt? IMO it would look more fierce with that bigger edge.
I've been cruising this thread for a while and finally gathered the courage to submit something. I must warn you, I'm normally a programmer, but I would like to get into modeling... Here's a little character I whipped up last night. The whole thing ways in at 466 triangles including the knives, and uses one 128x128 texture…
No because it's a low-poly head with less than 300 triangles. :poly142: Maybe the thread title should be changed to include "500 triangles or less ONLY" if it really upsets you guys that much.
Well I've finished my model of Brad. His model is 600 tri's. The full scene including the 3 items came up to 840 tri's. Again, any feedback would be great.
