Ruz: Dang, love that face. Although it's the focal point of the model, I feel like the arms suffer a tad from lack of detail & highlights. The highlights on the face are especially awesome and help it to pop, i'm wondering if you could carry some of that over to the arms to balance it a bit more. Can we see some close ups…
i don't think you need that many polys for some tiny details like that, they could even be 5 sided cylinders and still pop out the way you'd like... dont you think? just a thought. [edit: after looking at the locks closer i see why you wanted so many sides... but if you look at HL2 they didn't even bother to model that…
Good call MoP I still kept them a pinch desaturated though, because this is what the project calls for. But the reds definitely helped soften up the flesh. Though I also upped the saturation on everything to make it pop more, and I added palm trees. Haha, Per, I don't know how original this is, because I think Japanese…
Dizzy, I think both your chin and forehead (as well as maybe the top of the head too) need to be a bit flatter....your model is very round and I think he has a bit sharper of features...also the ear looks a lil funny, like it pops out too much EDIT: think you also might want to consider nudging his lip up a tiny…
Davision, looks cool, but boo on using the texture on the hand that is just that single brush in ZB. Animeboyz...that is looking mighty harsh. Tone that normal map down a bit, it's popping out way too much, it almost hurts the eyes. Maybe render it with some anti-aliasing aswell. Kovac, it's a nice start but the collar…
@achmedthesnake: That is looking awesome. The skin texture is a bit bland though, and has too much specular on it. I think if you added just a little bit of a noise overlay on your normal map, and tweaked your spec levels, you'd get a much better result. And to make the lion on his armor pop in the profile, you can add a…
uk_resistant - pants usually relax the opposite way when belted, the back stays up on the ass and the front dips down. maybe it's just me, but it looks odd the way you have it. also, that bit of bagginess on the back of the knees looks fabricated. don't think I've ever noticed that on anyone's pants that wasn't laced at…
cool stuff fuse, don't hold back so much on your details and ideas, go mental!! Great texture Johnny, doesn't look to intimidating to me though, more like a corporate accountant gone angry . "Soft" face Here goes one of mine Started the model and then thought it would be time to learn to rig and animate. No animations to…
friend of mine directs music videos for a living.. a few have been on mtv.. he has directed videos for mars volta and bunch of bands on the label sub pop.. he wanted to direct an animated short and i am doing all the animation.. it will be composited onto a live action background.. we are still tossing around story ideas…
Weee! Got it The weird lighting was caused by me editing the mesh to make it more animation-friendly, the nmap is not fitting anymore haha. I don't remember having edited the head tho. Tried to hide the mistakes as much as I could no these screens Model's proportions are rather different from the default ones hence the…
