hey guys, I would like to know how a megascan texture like the bricks can be used in UE4 correcrly with the high map, basically i would like to make the texture look in UE4 like in the ddo preview...
I really want to get DDO for home use, got ndo2 already :), will I get the megascans if I buy ddo? it just says starter pack is that all anyone gets with the suite? I cant use it at work cause we are all on macs :/
I'm sorry if this has been answered already. Can you get access to the complete megascans archive now or is that beta/service still due? If I would buy the complete Suite now would I get anything that I won't get from the open beta?
That was my only gripe - the workflow felt kinda bolted on and convoluted for the current version due to the reliance on PS without conforming to typical PS behavior. The megascan aspect seems really cool though and is the one thing I'm probably gonna miss by going with Allegorithmic's tools over these.
Quote: The online Megascans library is a separate subscription service however, as opposed to the tool suite which offers eternal licenses for NDO & DDO. Any info on how much this service is? I assume its a monthly fee with auto billing setup. And who will be managing/billing for this service?
Hi, I have a license to the previous versions of both dDo & nDo & have recently downloaded the new beta. Is/are Megascans included in the beta? Will it have it's own beta?a Is it included in the free upgrade &/or is a it a subscription service? The reason I ask is the the M icon doesn't light up like the N & the D & the 3…
So I pre-purchased Quixel Suite and just started looking into it today. I have a couple of Noob questions. _1 Do I need to put in my serial # on the Beta? _2 Is there a PDF version of the manual. (I am often offline) _3 What are these Presets I am reading about and where could I find them? Someone mentioned there would be…
Hell's horses that ddo workflow video is cool. Using scanned data by masks is awesome; definitely a much better workflow than mucking around with photo overlays and blending modes. The better base that can be automated = more time for hand painted stuff, which is excellent. I guess some people might worry that lots of…
Thanks for all the questions guys! We just wrapped up this year's GDC which turned out to be a lot more hectic than expected. It was so fun to meet so many of you at the booth and the Polycount meetup, I'll live off of that for a good while :) Ged, Correct, when you get DDO you will get a Megascans starter pack, containing…
Sexy looking. Nothing I don't like about it, except maybe the writing could have a tiny normal bump to separate it from the metal. But I don't know if that is visible on the Elysium nades as a bevel; probably not. I was just here to say how amazing Quixel is! In a couple of years they have convinced even the most sceptic…
