Here is a character that I have been working on. Render is flat lighting and the textures are about half done... Once she is finished I will be moving on to her crow minion.
thats some really nice work, the silencer especially grabs my attention as having weight and being well used/old, but well kept. any chance of seeing flats?
Made now also stylized flat shaded illustrations of my Last Knight enemies: The game also got a new big update: http://steamcommunity.com/games/262210/announcements/detail/1262444873044450721
fuuuuuuuuuuuuck This is PHENOMENAL work Paul as per usual. Love the design, such a great mix of flat surfaces for the eye to rest in between all those crazy intricate parts. And the multi directional stabilizer thrusters are awesome!
you could improve the lighting from far away I almost believed that it was a diffuse-only flat shaded model I mean the character is really great so it's the only thing that's missing imo
You just changed the background image :P If I were you I'd just have a gradient or a flat background. What is this grid adding to your image exactly? If anything it's pulling the eyes away from your model.
Would it higher the poly count by a lot to leave the little indents on the cylinders modeled in? In the first person view it's very obvious, that they are flat everything otherwise looks great baked out just those dents or intrusions are very visibly normal mapped.
good work :) the skin and pants texture seems a bit flat. i would suggest to edit the gamma a bit so the dark areas would appear darker. Or duplicate the skin and pants layer, put it on top of the original and set it to overlay. then play with the opacity.
tragische > I'd say it's a nice first retopo ! The eye part is a little dense but I think details in face are always important so that's ok for me :) Freemouse > so cool ! Could we see a bigger pic please ? And maybe a flat texture/wires ? :)
TiTs: Like your materials are SO nice, what tips and tricks could you share on how to achieve it? maybe a look at your flat textures/ even some settings used in marmoset. Pretty much anything you are willing to share about that :DD
