I like this idea. Fire based is awesome. Undead group? The royalty group would be fun too :) Perhaps it would be better to keep the focus more tight rather than say half the heroes at once...
Hey man the spear looks really nice, but i just gotta ask: wouldn't it be weird to shoot yellow light bulbs out of a spear tip? If it were a melee hero , it would've been awesome, but he is ranged.:poly136:
Great selection of Heroes this time around. I'm going to jump in with Tide, update the cannon i have and base a set around it. I'm thinking, netting, rope, old glass fishing floats, fish, shells, scales etc etc.
I think I'm going to try to do a set for Invoker if I have the time. Tvidotto is there a way you can post the reference charts for these heroes like you have in previous contest threads if you have the time? I'd love to use them to concept with.
Fantastic heroes composition this time. Allot people play those chars (maybe without Morphling), and that is good because sets will get much more love I suppose. Anyway somethings is surely wrong with me, because first thing that I thought of was jrock hairstyle for Invoker :)
I always thought a Necronomicon book courier with a demon hand sticking out to walk on (Like Thing from the Adam's Family) would be pretty neat. Books don't seem to fit invoker too well. Can't wait to see the new sets and items for these heroes. They need some love.
I'm really not a fan of posting the poll on reddit. Reddit isn't the most consistent community in the world and they only judge items by how they look instead of how much work was put into then and how well thy fit the heroes. I think we should keep the voting just on polycount or select some judges.
The real issue is if they are in the import/hero requirement pool. I don't think drow is a good idea as she already gets 2-3 good sets on the workshop every month, its just obvious valve doesn't want to add for her again just yet. Visage, Life Stealer and Magnus aren't in import or submission.
i think most of the guys liked the idea of dire/radiant and single item competition we could do like that: (if you guys agree) dire this month (following the one people used before on the posts =] ) single item for a hero (should we narrow it to a main weapon or could be open for other like head piece, armor or mount?)…
I'd be more inclined to limit it to something like a certain group of heroes. This is largely considering the nature of an average chest's content. It's single weapons and armor - but not just a box of swords, or a box of hammers. If we're really aiming for kind of a polycount chest theme we should make sure there's room…
