Guedin, awesome sculpt and render my friend, I nearly sh*t a brick, ace quality. afisher, amazing likeness, love it, are you intending to texture? And an update from me :3
Made a tiling brick texture for a tutorial, link below [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PSrQPizlTY&feature=share&list=UUTFQTh-Nf3sQDwtnN_WKbMw"]Seamless Texture with Maya, xNormal, Photoshop, nDo2 - YouTube[/ame]
Cool textures Jonas. A lot of them are pretty monotone. Also you could stand to work in additional values into each texture. Crosspost from my sketch thread. Finished up a brick wall texture I sculpted. Diffuse, normal, spec, and displacement on it.
Aaron_Fang - really nice sculpt, but that pose doesn't do it justice at all, it really shrinks him down and makes him way less imposing than he is. remember he's 7ft4in tall, and built like a brick shit-house. pose him appropriately!
Spent most of this week trying to get the right feel for old bricks. It's been tough but I finally feel like I'm on the right track. It's mostly just fairly base colours at the moment, still got to really fine tune the material. Sculpted in zBrush, Rendered in Toolbag2
Hey Everyone, I've just started learning Zbrush and Maya over the past few months, These are the first 2 models that I've worked on although with both I kinda hit a brick wall in knowing how to finish them. Both of these where done with me just messing around in Zbrush over the space of a few days. Any pointers on how to…
Digging deeper into tiling textures within Zbrush, practicing the different workflows and having tons of fun : ] I only made 2 rocks for this one (I was lazy) but it worked fine for practice, could work as a cobblestone texture and if blended with a better grout texture and some mixmaps it could probably work as stone…
First adventure in UDK. So far the hardest part has been lightmaps. I HATE them. But I figured them out okay and got them to work. Made a shader for the brick to mix up tiling. I'll make a thread when I have more to show. My universal castle shader, in case anyone is curious. I tried to keep it really simple. I already see…
Honestly I wouldt call it finished man.. it has so much potential but right now it's really empty and not dynamic at all! Some pieces of wood that did break off but are still hanging on and some bricks falling down would really add to this scene.. and some more stuff on the floor maybe? The radiator does look nice there,…
your presentation is killing that art. the pictures are so busy, the most eye-catching things are the electric-orange stripes and text, you've got information coming at me from all sides like pop-up ads. just show the art, man. *edit* art itself is coming along, though overall seems very high contrast. you've also got a…
