@ sketch404- Dat belly fat. Very nice. I would like to see the bird animated as well. :D @ AndrewHelenek- I like the secondary motions on the little twigs. It's a nice touch. I'm glad i'm not the only one who breaks the 20 mins rule. XD This time I managed to stay under 20 mins. This is a first pass at a spider walk cycle.…
Here is my first poses of my animation. Obviously I have mainly focused on movement of the root, legs and feet. I am in the process of rendering and uploading my 2nd iteration. Obviously this isn't done in 20 mins however this is the only good animation thread I have come by :) http://youtu.be/Y2SmStyp4mE
Oh hey, I'm an animator and a poly-counter. I got damn near 100 animations to do for the game I'm currently working on, I'll try posting them here as I go, maybe get some good critiques EDIT: I'm way less experienced than you, but 20 mins? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED
Well, answering my own question... The only more or less comfortable workflow I found is through adjusment layers. First - animating core movements of the character, not touching rotation on hips. Then adding adjusment layer, using PinBone on chest and animating hip rotations. And here's the result i got after about 20…
These are great for 20 minute animations, you don't seem rusty at all! They loop smoothly and especially the more polished versions have weight and personality. I myself used to have plenty of 3D animation courses in university from which I graduated this year - I appreciate seeing an animator sharing works like this here…
Ok here we go. Worked out the gif thing. I went over 20 on this. I had this started a while ago but never finished it. Found it again and fixed it up some. Where do you guys get your rigs? I have a few that I made but its not something I'm the best at. I'd like to have a few nice ones to work with.
Is it the rigging tool your showing in the reel u are going to share with us :poly121: ? Tested the 20 minute challange again... as usual I cheated :icon15: (30 mins all n all) Like the last time it was hard, and the fact that I couldnt find any clavicle controlls on the rig didnt make these moves easear to sell. Any how!…
Figured I'd throw something in as well. I'm hardly an efficient animator but I do enjoy the artistic freedom it offers. These were tiny class assignments. Each around 15 to 20 minutes. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tRFgPEMHhI"]four basic animations[/ame] And a less than satisfactory robot walk. Viewport…
Thought i'd join in this epic thread with a quick block out of a run cycle I put together tonight for a robotic coalmine minecart with legs (i'll explain later lol). Needs work on timing and I think the height could do with more work as well but for 20 minutes it's a start. The anim is due to part of a blended anim system…
great thread, just finished reading all 9 pages. I'll def. jump in and pose my animations, I'm very interested in this 20 mins challenges, so improove my speed and workflow. Would like to thank Gav for posting his models for free, I'll try to rig one of them for my own tests, using auto rig tools. If use Maya, there's a…
