Need to have 2 copies of the items at models/heroes + models/items textures are materials/models/heroes + materials/models/items if you extracted the root folder thinking it will work like that it will not you have to extract folder by folder as tedious as it may be, and your extracting dota 2 beta content into dota 2 test…
Woot! Was wondering about this all day: Heroes and guidelines: http://dota2.com/workshop/requirements Technical info and all the assets you'd want for the heros you can make custom content for.
I have done a sword for Juggernaut, the importer/compiler worked, I could even position the stuff, but when i ty to submit... (2nd image). Any tips on that? "Could not prepare content file."
Yo KPAX, thanks for the comment! Could you explain me a little better the China thing though? i didn't quite get the reason why...do they have something like a "mature content filter"?
Just rename your output filename, i use something easy, like test1...30, to test my stuff. And don't forget to clean up your content folder, because everything you compiled is still there!
They would not hold back content because of a missmatch in tax info. It might take a little longer, but I don't think that they would eliminate the sets chances completely. Keep your head up, keep making art.
im not completly shure about what im saying but acording with this blog : http://wyksblog.com/getting-started-dota-2-cosmetics/ we dont even need to compile it. and it might be true with this other info from http://dota2.com/workshop/requirements?l=portuguese : General Submission Requirements For geometry source content,…
confirmed. at least for the first part, now that the rubiline keys are out the content of the chest is revealed. it contains the items from the last patch. no informatin on the polycount chest yet, but i guess that was obvious and we still have to wait a little.
^Awesome i didn't know this nor did I try, uhg oh well I found out test was not importing ground shader or something so that's when I did the beta content to test and all was fine. :) Thanks for that.
