Hey, So I saw that Microsoft has finally released the Kinect SDK. I was wondering if it was possible to use this as a method of extract bone and skeletal information, the same way you'd do it with Motionbuilder? Reason being, Motionbuilder is an expensive program, and I was hoping that there would be a way around it.…
Also it'd be better to pick assets that play to the strength of the Kinect more. A flat surface with easily tiled details isn't going to be very favorable to the Kinect. Pic an object that does not have small details and isn't easily modeled or tiling.
I'm actually looking forward to trying to get my damn Kinect working within the confines of my room for this. I picked up some of those Kinect spectacles (kinectacles?) from Onyx, but have yet to have a chance to try them out.
