Fine, ill be the one to say it. Just pirate a version of max or maya and go at it. I went to college and it broke me completly. So the teachers would have cracked versions of software on the transfer drives for students to grab. Just dont run off and try to make money off it. /flame suit on
first week at school, guess im a 2nd year student now,, well had a rough week with alot to do and my gf come over this month, first time ive seen her in a year so it was hard to concentrate on work. well here is this weeks work, 4 and a half day into it.
use the image tag to show images [image] address [/image] and its looking pretty good.. I admit I'm not a student of ancient Mediterranean architecture to know the differences between greek and etruscan, but it looks very much like any of the other replications of this temple I've seen on tv or anywhere else.
Hmm. As a student currently in school, I wouldn't recommend it too much. If you can swing it, I think you would improve MUCH quicker at like Gnomon or Futurepoly or something like that where you are ONLY doing 3d stuff and not Math and Science core requirements that get in the way.
yea, great website. I would say the same as above. show textures and wireframe. no matter how good it looks, if it's not usable than its pointless and those two things help show it. on an other note, I'm a student at UCF, curious how DAVE school is. how is your experience there?
Are you using a student version of Maya/Arnold (or any other non-commercial equivalent)? If possible, I would do whatever I can to minimize it (assuming that doesn't violate EULA). Having a big "THIS WAS RENDERED IN MAYA" plastered on your final art just comes off as really distracting.
Congratulations on landing a gig at Crytek, dude! You really deserve it! Another UK final year games student here, I feel your final year pain! Well maybe not as hard, seeing as you seem to have put an ton of work into your portfolio stuff! Well done! :)
I'm just gonna say this. You don't get better from ignoring fundamental rules of material creation and "remember that in the future". The students that actually choose to go back to their model/texture and go that extra mile are the ones that makes it in the end. Receiving feedback is not anything you should take for…
Wow, your work is amazing. The detail in every piece is well clear and concise lines make me just love your work. As well as the imagination you have to create such beautiful pieces. I'm currently a game art student, hoping to be a concept artist and your work is inspiration to me.
Awesome! Yeah we did a couple of these at the last studio I was at (back to full time student now), and I thoroughly would look forward to each one of them. They are awesome fun :D Can't wait to see what you guys can cook up in two work days!
