Yea when I linked it to some of my friends they had a some critisim on the handle. Personaly I don't like the gem stone part either. Doesn't seem to fit imo Just a minor remark, the rest stil looks amazing.
I work in IT for the government in Ottawa. Mon thru Fri hours and when things get slow I surf PC and model on my laptop. It's a great stepping stone but surrounded by 3 grey cubicle walls sucks the creativity out of me.
I'll prolly email them and see if they'd be fine with it. Dont want a small school contest to turn into something massive.. haha Thanks alot though! i was just thinking i could kill two birds with one stone! haha
Hello again, I was wondering if anybody could make a suggestion as to what kind of material this is? It's during the colonial times, except I am unable to determine if it's wood or stone or what? Thank you in advance for any help. Sincerely, Cory Kanakis
Looks good but I would add more color variation to the moss and add a dirt layer. Besides the moss the Stone looks overall very clean. Also more roughness variance would help to make your material more convincing.
As everyone else stated, colors look fantastic! My only critique is with the leaves at the bottom. To me they read as stone almost. I think they should be brighter, with less contrast and possibly a bit more attention to highlights. Other than that awesome job!
I'm not sure about the unreal thing but how did you do the stone material? zbrush? substance designer? To me, that rock texture just doesn't look convincing or similar to the concept. Otherwise, the improvements you have made are indeed helping.
No im trying to import a displacement map to mask and offset as a base to sculpt out some cliffs/rocks/general rock/stone walls. So far the only fix is to import 8 bit maps and smooth out the weird swirls that happen.
the chest muscles, mainly the abdominals seem very weird, like if they were stones , they seem over defined but still with no definition .. agh cant explain, basically i would try to look at some pics and figure out whats looking odd.
