Off to a decent start with a little work I think you could pull off something great. Crits: He's wirey and his proportions are less then heroic/warrior. At first glance I would say he's a new recruit, a runner (wearing soldier gear) or one of the first to die. If you model heroic features into a character it has a better…
Finally there has been a change of plan and I've put legs to the model. I would say that the legs look a bit weird at the moment, so I'll keep working on them these days. What do you think guys? Are the proportions alright in your opinion?
Kwarmm speaks the truth though weird they suggest python then Mel. IMO once you work with python and understand it you won't want to touch Mel ;P Though would just try to understand how to program then learning a language. Rest is just syntax
Wow, this is fantastic. Really great textures and modeling. Though, I can't see any way that thick book is staying in place on his leg, that's just being nitpicky though. There's something odd with the legs, I can't put my finger on what it is though
For the armored guy, the hands and feet/legs are lacking, Thumbs look quite long. For the legs/feet, maybe it's the lack of recognizable form that makes it look off? Armor design is interesting though and face looks cool. You just need to iron out the imperfections.
Inside the UV editor select all the uv's and go to Polygons>Merge UV's (click on the dialogue box option) then set the threshold very low .00001 and merge. If that doesn't work then the vertices aren't actually connected and you have to do the same thing but for the vertices.
hollowmind: shes lookin rad! her arms and legs (especially the backs of her legs) may be a little *too* muscular. the detail is nice though, i wouldnt take it all out, but maybe subdue it a little. The knees are rad! not feelin the boob eyes though...
Should'a been Mel Gibson's Safari 4. I believe the most accurate and riveting representation of life and death in Africa has already come and gone with Mel Gibson's Safari 3. [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YQvUVkLXHE&feature=related[/ame]
The design is actually really cool, but I think you need to mess with its proportions. It has really short stubby legs and big feet, giving it almost a cartoonish appearance. try stretching the legs and making the head, hands, and feet a little smaller; like this:
yeah i think I hit the leg too hard with the old bulge tool and made her bowlegged. Sorry about the not work safe, fixed. I'll fix the legs as soon as the double vision from the booze goes away....thanks for the help guys
