Danshewan, this art deco style combined with nemo sci-fi is going to rock, really liking your models too. Its going to look awesome, update often, Im really looking forward to seeing what you do with it. :D
Heya! Great tutorials everyone, love this thread :) . I finished up a tutorial on handpainting a Sci-Fi Weapon. Gumroad link - https://gumroad.com/turpedo If you enjoy it, feel free to share with anyone who may be interested! Thanks :D
I haven't played it yet. But what interests me from what I've watched is that it carries that old mario/crash bandicoot style gameplay. Just in a more heroic action sci-fi theme. I would like to play this eventually. :)
Love the sci fi scene, what was your general workflow for texturing all of that? I always wonder how with few texture details it can look so beautiful, is the diffuse just a plain colour and the spec has all the details? thanks!
Rad guns! I'm glad you didn't go with miniguns, he looks way too sci-fi for them. The current shape is way more interesting than the original. It reminds me a bit of the Supreme Commander mechs, but more cool.
Agreed on the post process, A tad bit more of indirect light bouncing may go down well also. Is there any plans on expanding the scene e.g. adding walls, window/sci-fi airlock shielding to be able to see space etc.
Eclipse still needs concept artists that can dedicate time to the project. Strong sci-fi environment and/or character concepts are still needed. We presently have 4 concept gents. Here are a couple of things in the works, mainly for the start of the game.
Looks good. I would agree with Konrad that maybe there could be a bit more variety of theme by doing a Sci Fi or more fantasy based project. The normals on the table asset might be a "little" too strong. Maybe knock that down a bit
the other thing im toying with is that ive never made a sci-fi environment, but i wasnt thinking all metal corridors and sliding doors, more of 2001 padded corridors, flat reflective surfaces, cool funky zero-g design
[ QUOTE ] i dont know what concept you have in mind pior, but i liked the last version better [/ QUOTE ] Not me! I like it. the other one was just oversized sci-fi-overalls, this has much more character.
