Soul: Try showing more of the inner eyelids on the bottom (and maybe top a lil) Just that pink fleshy inner eyelid usually helps to bring eyes to life a bit more. Possibly darken the eyes as well. If that doesn't work, maybe try taking some of the shadow out of the upper eyeslid surrounding the iris? Not sure any of that… -

Yes, that's what I meant. I used to use a mocap Bip file, but now I just animate a quickie set of motions when I make a new skeleton. Hi Panga! Looking good. Make sure you test that guy under different lighting conditions too. I noticed that photosourced assets like that can look odd as soon as you start rotating the lights around. Also you could try to gently paintover some areas to make him less 'photo' maybe? Eyes will be important to get right too… -

I've got the first American release by Orion and then the newer DVD where the dialogue was rerecorded and makes a little more sense. Memories is great too, by the same director, it's 3 short stories. Crazybump and xnormal can both do that, but the result is different from a true AO, and is closer to an edge detection look. It is very useful, but not exactly what you seem to ask.
