Early WIP screen of generic sci-fi corridor, has to be done I'm afraid! Much more to do, just thought I'd post something as I like to keep things active. Some playing around with UDK...
Shapes read a lot better on your new design, your on the right track. I personally like the scrapmetal plate with bolts armor. The slick sci-fi stuff is so played out, this is giving me a Hawken vibe.
I agree with the part about professionalism and being a craftsman part but I look at Art Machine's portfolio and it's a perfect fit for any of the big MMO studios that aren't making modern or sci-fi games (like 80% of them)
Ah what a great idea! You have got sooooo much freedom with colour and texture when working with Sci-Fi themed stuff. ( And pink is a very cool colour! :D ) Looking forward to see your WIP!
Hey Blu Panda, thank you. I also wanted to tell you nice sci fi diver model. i am really digging it when i first saw you post it.. Where are you working at?
I started working on my sculpture: YEs it is completly diffrent than the one on concept, but at this point I will try to mix some sci-fi elements into scene. The statue will have staff and sword along with some magic effect.
everything looks pretty good. Only thing that stands out to me is that the Sci-Fi Hallway is using textures from the 3d game textures book. Create your own, otherwise it looks like you simply copied
Hi Neox.. lol Yeah i was probably too non specific. Third person AAA, but there will be close ups in cinematics. Example, Mass Effect. Genre, Sci-Fi I'm doing the sculpt retopologizing now... and that's where the question came up
Im going to create a base texture similar to the grids and retro mountain landscape grids of the sci fi genre, then i will create a customised design to go over the top of it, not desided on a colour for this yet but the background will be purpley, blue with bright colours on top
Damn! The first time I saw this thread I didn't think too much of it. A lot of people start threads with super complicated sci-fi fan art and mostly get discouraged very early on, but you sir are so delivering.
