Ok apologies for the million updates. The OEM Win7 disc doesn't appear to be bootable, or it's damaged. It was fully security sealed when I got it so I guess it could be a faulty disc. I've tried my RC disc, and it boots to that and will install, tried an OEM XP cd I had and it boots fine to that too. Sucks that I got it… -

A few things I see right away are: 1. Specular map isn't making things pop 2. You could make the transition from fur to skin a bit softer 3. There are plenty of uk studios, i know a couple big ones just opened up, one in leeds i think. Splash damage will probably be cranking out gears of war content for the next few years i would imagine. Tailor your portfolio to one of the many studios in the uk, and you will probably have a better chance of getting a job… -

If the metal is meant to be the black laquer it should probably be glossier; if it is meant to be parkerized metal (or equivalent) it could use some higher frequency noise (perhaps in normal too if the texel density is in your favour; it should be at 4k) and different wear. Then just play with colour and roughness…
