Thanks, guys. I know I might be in a minority, since this is like oldschool retro low poly and all. But the dithering effect doesn't really look good or authentic for the intended effect. I am rendering up a large amount of images (for GIF purposes) so having a transparent image is the desired solution.
Enslaved was an awesome experience. The gameplay was shallow and bland, but the story and cinematics were awesome. Pretty sure Enslaved was originally intended to be a film made in the Unreal Engine, but they were told or changed their mind and made a game instead. The Devil May Cry reboot was pretty sweet too: hit a nice…
lotet any feedback is just as appreciated!!. all of the textures we posted are still work in progress, so you're right about the detail/polish on this guy. what i do have in mind for this fella is keeping him rather simple but clean due to the scale of him and the intended use (swarms of um!) cheers!
I just got back from vacation, and it's time to get back in the groove again. I'm afraid I didn't do a sketch every day like I intended, but I did do multiple pages of sketches some of the days, so I'm still on track. :) Here they all are in a massive post!
i used to use blender at the beginning... but then got to know that the industry didnt use it as a standard, so passed to 3dsmax. but up to now i still think that blender has a better uv unwrap system. if only there was a way to blend (no pun intended) blender's unwrap with 3dsmax, man id be the happiest dude ever
If it inspires you in any way, there's that classic xcloud.net "Swordmaster" tutorial by Korean artist Jeong Seong Hwa, but it shows its age in the low poly. - sm_tuto_p1.pdf - sm_tuto_p2.pdf Also, what game engine do you intend to use? Try to search for hair solutions that artists use on that particular engine.
OMG, a guy with a camel toe, arrgg mental pain Oh and and the back of *her* lower legs looks a bit strange. I think the main mass is too far up, thus resulting in a look similar to what legs look when someone wears highheels (but maybe that is intended Just fix the shoes then!).
im not sure about the concept stuff. But for refs you really can't go wrong with http://www.3d.sk,well worth registering if you are intending to go seriously into 3d,the price might seem abit steep but you can't get refs anywhere near that kind of quality anywhere else. John
The default is null, before the proper ranks have been coded in people were assigned the rank of a "stranger" and the system thought the admins intended those ranks to stay like that forever. Now those who joined up early have the title stranger while the newbies go hrough a whole lot of ranks.
oops, let me clarify/add credits. the gun was from my CSS folder, made by (folder name says): Hav0k. it's only intended to be placeholder until i can be arsed to build my own (not a bit hard surface fan... it bores me). @ Dekard: he doesn't, he's solid snake.
