Indeed everyone uses subdivision modeling (with the mesh being divided evenly a number of times according to a polygonal control cage) ; sub-D modeling is quite different from that. I agree with bardler, my work is always 100x better when I am working from a good piece of concept art or IRL object. I know you are doing the dark plastic in albedo, and like I said, 30/255 is really the lowest value you should ever use on Albedo. couple of possibilities: --is the particle life itself is too short, and its actually spawning a NEW particle each 'flicker'? --is your curve itself stairstepping instead of interpolating smoothly?
