Exactly as I'd do it. Hdr cube's are just the DDS format you save to. I think I pick 16bit float or something, not sure. Just make sure you mark the "Save MipChain" checkbox in cubemapgen!! Or you won't be able to use them with cubemap blurring in shaders like mine or 3PS. -

some props I've been thinking about: crates, oxygen canisters, gas masks, bottles with alcohol/medicine, bandages, surgery tools, scalpels, saline solutions (serum), buckets, camber pots... lots of stuff that would make it more alive. ...and some particles like floating dust would be awesome. :poly142: -

thanks guys! i already saw your thread, the concept is quite awesome :) for the shield: i created the lowpoly in maya with the nails as floating geometry for baking, sculpted it in zbrush but used xnormal for baking. then just painting over AO + cavity in PS. next thing to create is either a first viking building or the… -

well i can only say, what i see would be considered a final highpoly in many game productions, the highpoly doesn't need Uvs and floating parts are pretty common in game productions. Of course i can't see how "bad" it is from the image, but at first glance it looks pretty solid. -

Ilo thanks for your answer. But i needed those additionnals edges to keep the hard edge on the bigger object. I solved my problem earlier today by adding more sections to the floating geometry. Smoothed it to level 1. Than matched the bigger object. So thanks Ilo for your explanation anyway. -

Holy crap Python is clean. Beauty job TkvToons I really like how you don't have to declare whether variables are strings, ints, floats, etc or brackets even?? jeeez.. that would have saved me loads of time from trying to track down those misplaced squirrely sobs ;) -

Getting closer. Good job. You may need a bit of creativity arranging the leaf on top tho. The reference clearly doesn't have its leaf pointing outwards like yours. They are quite horizontal. Don't be afraid to add floating cards to archive that, cards do not need to always follow direction of the branch. -
