So just to clarify my initial question, because probably someone else thinks about it: I just bought ZBrush from Pixologic since they offer 20% off right now during the ZBrush Summit 2016. Price is 585€ and there is no additional taxes applied or something. :)
Congratulations for the great results! It looks very smooth and enjoyable, despite the Camtasia resource thief. Parallax scrolling background layer reminds me to great old time games like Psygnosis' Shadow of the Beast, anyone remember? (20 years ago!?! Gosh, I'm feeling old).
Update! Thanks for all the feedback! I made some changes to it. Today we UV mapped the character. I unwrapped the character with the texel densety of 20. Picture 01 there are some UV waste, so I was hoping to get some feedbank on how to improve it! Cheers - Antonio
I think snap radius starts at 20 by default. Are you sure you have snaps activated, just selecting the tool from the drop down menu doesn't always activate them. the snaps marker is is just a visual aid, and i think that is set to 30 by default.
Raycast errors on cage intersects, for me. - left low poly is merged, right low poly is intersecting - 20 vertices vs. 16 (left/right) - high poly is merged with beveled edge between the two primitives - didn't edit cage, just a simple push outwards
Looks fun..but isn't the game like $70? And I heard you can't even beat the last boss until you buy a bunch of the other toys..and $8 per toy, or a $20 package for three toys, and there are around 30 of them? That just seems scummy to me.
Yeah sorry I meant the 2600K. Afaik the "K" version is unlocked for overclocking, not sure there is any meaningful difference if you're not going to OC. Though the K does bench about 1000 points higher here: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html So, for $20 might as well go for it?
$50 monthly sub for LT with all these limitations seems too high! here is a comparison with Adobe Photoshop CS6 full = ~$1000 Creative Cloud single app monthly = $20 2% of full price ______________________ MayaLT full (with subscription) = $915 monthly = $50 5% of full price
People are paying $50,000 a year for school. That's for eight months assuming two four month semesters so add another $25,000 for a full year. $75,000/12 = $6,250 per month. $6,250/20 working days = $312.50 per day. That's what the going rate is for school.
well...i have a friend that gets scared and almost shits himself everytime he sees the ocean...because he almost drown in a midnight bath at the atlantic ocean ... thanks to his "friends" ...he is 20 nowadays lol , i think that this stuff indeed marks people.
