I suppose it may be a little beside the point, but I'm curious. Is there a reason it defaults to 96 dpi? I've noticed it before, but hadn't thought much about it until now.
Uh, you could write a script/plugin it I guess, but you'd have to write packing algorithms yourself that handle it. The default Modo ones wouldn't have a concept of that.
Dude you should make a map pack and sell it... this stuff is insanely good. Those cattails and bushes are those defaults in unreal or did you make them too?
thanks for that tip, very helpful stuff. in case one used the -vd parameter, would max default to the newest or the oldest direct3d release installed - or choose one randomly?
Try dropping an STL check on there and see what it tells you. Oh, also if it's a really heavy model it could just be the adaptive degradation that max has on by default for viewports.
Im going to regret saying this but since installing .Net 4.0 im digging the ribbon. The default position is shit but Float a few toolbars go into expert mode.. JOY
Tulkamir: You can select with boxes, there's an option to alter your selection method, it's in one of the menus (and is a default keyboard toggle, something like Alt+Shift+S or similar).
It sets 'afro caribbean' as the default selection when you first upload your image, you forgot to set it to 'caucasian'. I did the same thing at first. -caseyjones
Xenobond, when you say it's built into hardware, do you mean it's enabled by default in the 3d engine, or does it have to be enabled somehow? (speaking in terms of homebrew here)
WOO HOO! Once you get it working, it comes in pretty handy. But it drives everyone bonkers at first. A large part of that is how they set up the defaults, silly really.
