Looks awesome Sam, love the materials and texture work. Only crit is I wish the necklace was modelled or alpha'd and maybe his expression was played with more. Slight squint of the eye and raised nostril/laugh lines to push the snarl more. But its f***ing awesome Sam :) great job!!!!
Oh yea that's awesome! A lot more tanks. http://forum.japantoday.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=539795&p=552980 Being a Metal Slug and Advance Wars fan the Renault Light Tank is pretty cool too. http://neatorama.cachefly.net/images/2008-02/renault-ft-17-tank.jpg
f**k monkeyboy_garth, i'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully they pull their fingers out of their asses and pay you want you're meant to receive -hopefully the new auz government will be more open to supporting this industry and all that (i doubt that but eh.) p.s. get your portfolio up and running mannnnn.
There is a discussion on this thread on page 162 about cutting holes on cylinders, there is also a bunch of older post about that. Should be enough to solve your problem. https://polycount.com/discussion/56014/how-the-f-do-i-model-this-reply-for-help-with-specific-shapes-post-attempt-before-asking/p162

Just saw it yesterday. Worth a watch for sure... the end... well... kinda jumps the shark. Doesn't really matter though, nobody's watching it for the brilliant plot :) "A-" for those looking for a good laugh and a lot of action. "F" if you're looking for a cohesive story that stays with you for all eternity. Spoiler…
Spacemonkey my hat off to the whole team that game looks f-ing outstanding . Along with Crises and UR7/Gears of war that is the best looking and truly Next Gen game ive seen..and certainly the best looking RPG for the next gen by far . I'll be waiting very impatiantly for this game !
i like the new direction these are going qubie. very dynamic, and hyperevolved from your previous ones. you should print these, and submit them to siggraph ( http://www.siggraph.org/s2005/main.php?f=cfp&p=art ), or at least enter some into Expose 3, get you some exposure.
the F and A keys Frame and Frame All just as most user friendly apps should. selecting the object from the Object List and press A will Frame that object. import your models to the correct size. been using Mudbox for one day. moron. watch your video. har har !sex
My favourite secret hot key! Shift+RMB+Paintbucket changes the background colour of the window when extended past the image boundary, nifty if you like to click F to cycle modes and do not like their crappy light grey or black. I prefer working on a dark grey background.
