Alright, well I managed to cleanly unwrap my object, but when test bake using ray miss check, it says its missing basically the entire model. I checked for overlapping and inverted UVs, there are none. I'm completly stuck. I've followed The 3D Motive Sci Fi Workflow tutorial and A CG Tuts tutorial. PLus many others and I…
Very nice start... I'd definitely add some wooden planked stairs that non-uniformly pieces down the slope from the floor. The back of the house could use some windows or something a little more eye attracting as just one back door seems a little dull and the back wall seems like it's made of planks of wood but I find it…
It looks like you are doing some post processing on the scene- Try dialing that out while you evaluate lighting. Also, you have a long fov and most of your elements are positioned on just a few planes. If you want an image like that to read better you need to clean out visual noise and do a better job differentiating them…
Added some minor details like creating the bricks and planks of wood in some areas. I also re arranged the corner where the bulls head will be mounted to be a bit more pleasing to the eyes. I also added the table arms and modeled the table leg to match the concept. I did play around with the way that the tops of the sacks…
I just wanted to say in here that I love the CGI in Alien: Isolation. "Way To Go!" and kudos to the developers! I've taken thousands of screenshots in Alien: Isolation and I'm certainly not done. I've played the game several times, and I still love it. I don't do CGI but I DO build with Lego (the little bricks) and thanks…
@Jeff Parrott: I love your little chibi scene, the only thing I think you should change is to probably make the colors a bit darker and add some length difference in the stone bricks. Failed to complete the Dishonored arch dome, got stuck on the glass and I hope I can redeem myself with this scene, yes I'm going to lower…
OMG, ~500-1000 dollars... so 500-1000 euros in europe... with 600 euro we can build a small form factor gaming rig system, suited for hardcore gamers and x1000 times better than this little "steam brick". If piston could have the GPU power of a gtx 680 OC and CPU power of a i7 3770k@5ghz, then... it would deserve the price…
Hey everyone! Here are some changes I made: I changed the color of the wood boards by decreasing the saturation to make the wood boards appear old and worn out. I used Zbrush to sculpt the ground then textured it in substance painter. I'm planning to add the dirt below the shipping container by placing the decal on the…
thought I best add an update on where I am, been banging my head against a brick wall with trying to get the buildings spot on to the concept, I still haven't quite got my head around it but this is pretty much the final block-out, I've started having a bit more fun with some of the component parts and embellishing them a…
Beautiful work. For critique I'd say personally I think the graffiti looks way too..new? It looks very fresh, really clear. Usually graffiti is generally rough and washed out. The graffiti on the stalls look fine but when it comes to the graffiti on the brick walls it looks like the graffiti has just been slapped on. Maybe…
