Hi Eric, thanks for the reply. What you say is of course totally correct, and mostly when in that situation I will do as you said, i.e. unwrap and then copy and identical elements. Source doesn't require them to be welded, I just thought that it could be useful to be able to do this sometimes, that way there isnt any risk… -

Oi. "Screaming procedural" isn't a good thing. It means it lacks the uniqueness we find in reality and often times lacks realism altogether. These are traits we usually don't want in our games. For example, take a look at that first image. Have you ever seen rivers flow like that? They follow the curvature of the landscape… -

Looking at your UV sheet your islands are tiny. You're only using about 10-20% of the space, which gives you an idea of the very limited amount of pixels each island will receive.
