Use Offset and set it to like 2 or less and see what that does. I don't like using the cage if possible. Takes waaay to much time, and usually still has issues. It really depends on the game aesthetic. Choppy can look good (think of the Lego Movie, or the Wreck It Ralph arcade game). Imgur absolutely wrecks image quality when it converts PNGs to JPG, which might be why a lot of people ended up just uploading pngs here. Photoshop jpg conversion 8-10 quality is the way to go.
