I see a lot of overlays, each embossed. One way to do this would be to start with a gray canvas, then make a circle selection and subtract and add rectangular and/or circular selections to/from it to make an interesting shape. Then fill with white (or Stroke with white) and emboss the whole canvas. Make a new layer, fill…
I'm pretty sure that's the case with most laptops. If you go into the Display Settings > Advanced >Adapter tab it will tell you how much "shared system memory" it's using. That will be subtracted from your total amount of ram much like onboard integrated video cards in desktops. It probably has 64mb dedicated at least…
Thank you Yep this is zbrush (3.1), and I use maya for a little low poly 1st. The technique is simple: I use the stich1 brush with an alpha like alpha58 in subtraction (you can also use tracks1 which is originally substractiv). Using it in multiple draw size and intensity simulate the fractal bases of natural things. I…
Yes, but you can set the Data Channel to Add / Subtract / or Replace an edge selection. So you can have certain edges you always want to bevel pre-selected and have the data channel update the rest. But Data Channel is way more than an advanced selection modifier. Check out @gandhics video for stuff you can't reproduce…
Nice job! Just a tip... I see you actually making the Euclidean distance formula by hand(with the subtraction, dot product and then the square root). - Why not just use the "Distance" node under "High Level" ? Much easier and less nodes to worry about. :) Distance node vs: individual nodes... Just a suggestion! ...unless…
In Anno we can camera rotate/move/tilt freely to see all angles. Buildings with "terrain subtraction" are very detailed and seem to cut and fit perfectly on the ground, with animations and in some cases water inside it. The texture splatting/blend remains even with the building placed on middle of a blend, the texture does…
paroxum, it's the 2nd method, except I used textures for the mixing of the terrain layers. I used MentalRay's terrain blend shader to give me some falloffs of shear edges and high areas, I painted some of it in ZB with 3d painting. The large rocks that aren't the mountain use upZ in the world to place grass, and I can add…
I already checked there. It just had some pen properties for pressure and stuff like that.. i really wanted to change the touch ring draw size value... it keeps adding and subtracting 10 instead of one (i can get size 1-11-21-31, but cant get the numbers in-between).. if anyone knows how to change it.. i would really…
yeah man, i emphasise - go wih what you're good at, if the animation is your strong point i'd make an 'animator's portfolio' which could just display your walkcycles/animation using the dummy/max biped/and/or generic man - and explore the rigging and stuff like that - having average models/textures will only subtract form…
HAH! i think it's neat. I dont think it's adding or subtracting, it's just different. someone's having fun. I dont think anyone thinks that they "made it better". maybe they do. I dunno. if they do, fuck them. they're assholes. Love the stained glass one. why is that animation so shitty? these assholes went to all this…
