I'm handpainting a texture for a sci-fi project. Its going to have a fixed camera, and its low end. so to add details I couldn't add in geometry, I tried a bit of forced perspective Left is what you see, right is the oposite angle. I'm still getting ridd of the extra faces, but at this point I still have it for selection…
@sweetangel0467 Yea I started seeing that. OTher than your paint palettes I saw a LOL article about their color palette for the new texture update. THank you for the crit! Always helpful. Here is the latest iteration: It's still in "beta" stages as far as controls but you can get it here:…
Hey everyone, So much cool stuff on here, gonna subscribe to this thread :). I made this a couple of days ago, figured it belonged here as well: a handpainted scene based on the concept of Mark Henriksen. And a turnaround gif. I'm calling this one done for now, but if you guys have feedback, I'd still love to hear it :).…
Learning to handpaint..sigh..again. Hoping it will stick this time. Im sick of working in the realistic world haha. After doing some studies im going to do a scene. Where does the hand painted artist community render models? Unreal, Toolbag? Im messing with Toolbag and not getting good results at all, its like the texture…
@aluvay Yeah that's usually how I do it too. But I always feel like I need to do a lot of painting on top to make it look handpainted. and not plasticy. So for some textures I prefer to do them fully handpainted. @bassinicomix like the design and the colors! I think a couple areas still seem a little rough though, like the…

So much cool art happening here! I'm going to have to go thru the last few pages to catch up! :D Finished my shelf model which was done as a practice in a workshop event for the Handpainter's Guild. Had struggled with the wood, but it was a much needed refresher. I learned alot and will apply what I learned to the next…

Heeey! Nice thread! Very good and insparational works. Here is mine one. This is my first little handpainted scene. It's a little Battle Pet from World of Warcraft Before i tried to paint some of assets on other scene. If you want to give me some feedback or read my blog, WELCOME!) My blog…
I think the problem might actually be the way you "chipped" the sword, making it look more like stone then anything. The best handpainted metal I've seen in a while was this: [SKETCHFAB]bfa19d58a7944c888c60f1de3a79bb3c[/SKETCHFAB] This is already pushing it: There's also this: Bottom line: Steer clear of chipping too much.…
