Character and katana texture done. I´ve been messing around with arnold during this past days creating a lighting set up I was happy with, and I came up with this at the end. Now I will finish with the skull model and texture. Once I end up with it, I will pose her and as last, create the hair with xGen if am able.
The end of your roof beams are yellow, why? Are they painted? Wood in the real world doesn't really do that, only very old wood that has been recently cut and no where to that amount. Have a look at these sleepers.. Once wood has been in the wild for a couple of years any fresh wood on the end grain matches the side grain…
Thanks D_Wall. I do plan to throw some damage in there, but I'm saving that for the end in case I decide to change something. For her weapon I was thinking of doing the baby foo dog in the shape of a ball at the end of the chain. The baby is a typical motif that can be seen with the statues. This may change as well but…
What an odd, neat art style it's ended up as. The closer in shots reveal a kind of, advanced Borderlands esque stuff? I rather hope this is something like what Borderlands 3 will end up as, cause it looks neat! Would agree that the only thing that's missing is perhaps tweaked lighting. Did a, attempt at subtle, paintover…
Yeah, some of the features are pretty basic ; and indeed for some specific parts I sometimes end up working in a regular 3d environment. But still at the end of the day being able a 742mb OBJ without any slowdown is pretty important (doing exactly that right now !) - and to some extent is just as, if not more important…
I am assuming we will end up at the southfield.. because thats where we normally end up. ( Southfield - 18 Southfield Rd, Middlesbrough TS1 3BZ) Would probably be a good idea to meet up at on of the talk buildings after the talks before heading because some people might want to head to one of the other places.
Hey, bad month for work stuff. But baking and stuff done, moving onto texturing. Ended up being higher-poly than I wanted. Some of the internal stuff just couldn't be helped. Settled around 1,700 in the end. Nrm map is also 2k but looks okay-ish at 1k. Might look at having it at 1k I dunno.
@B_P_L i am not sure but i think this challenge last to end of October and far as i know its just a challenge and you just post your end result here but maybe i am wrong, but i am just doing to improve my skills and to show i can make environment from concept to start to finish
Looking fantastic, just one thing that break realism is the end part of staircase railing end support (i could be wrong) the extruded bit on side is continuous as if made out of rubber or soft material but its wood so it would have been placed in 4 sections and you would be able to see a seam line where pieces connect.
Its gotta be good news, they must have some serious plans for it otherwise they wouldnt have given it, its own forum. At least the it the current form is perfectly usable, it can only get better. If there clever they'd keep it cheap and exploit the bottom end of the market. Good to see the guy get rewarded, and the…
