HEy dude you got some awesome work there :) Sadly i am just a little Indie game company, full of students trying to get experince :D (including me lol) its nothin much yet(but hopefully soon :D ) http://www.facebook.com/RemixLineOfFire Cheers!!
unfortunately i'm still a student and my visa doesn't allow me to work fulltime yet. yeah, czech language is pain in the ass, i understand people well, but can speak very little. never put the time in it and probably never will, it's very unattractive, at least for me. haha.
Hey! I can't give much crit since it's pretty new to me too, but I found a nice texture tutorial on 3D motive, its not free sadly but if you sub for a month with a student subscription it works out pretty cheaply. http://goo.gl/GxWS2 hope this helps. :)
I'm actually a student so I have to really do it all at the moment. We do get a lot of contact time with doing modelling/UV work but not so much for texturing atm so I was really looking for stuff here to do quickly as practice. But thanks anyways :)
Thanks to everyone who came along from Creative Assembly last night, and to Kaz. Great to see you all again and always good to have new faces! I think the students from UH got some good advice too. Good evening all round!
A few years ago, a grad student lived above me and I'm pretty sure she went to Zynga after graduation. Not sure if she was laid off or even still there, but good luck to everyone that was unfortunately let go. Hope you all land a new job soon!
Hey cool stuff! I noticed the Skydome With Lightning on your site. Do you have a video of this in motion? I'm sharing some techniques with my students, and would love to see what you came up with. Do you have a bigger shot of your network too?
You could also take advantage of your student status to get Softimage 2011 for free as well, which would include several improvements over Mod Tool (one of which being a better unwrapping option). There are a few video tutorials for unwrapping in Softimage on the Area, as messy as that system is.
There are some really good people teaching at the RMIT course, and lots of dedicated students. Best thing for you to do though is go and talk to one of them, the course may have changed a bit since I worked there. Adam Nash is a great guy, go and whisper into his ear~
