A few points on your tire texture: - The sides looks wrong. Tires don't have trims like that on the sides. Try making in the more smooth. I'm using Maya's so there's no smoothing groups in there like it is in 3DS max, so Ive been selectively going through in Geo and smoothing the needed edges. Geo's looking a lot better. Ok then just start removing edges that dont help the shape of your objects. Round parts you can likely reduce to 12 sided, smaller ones even less. I dont know if you applied a smooth to those objects there or if you can return to an earlier version that isnt smoothed but that needs to be done before unwrapping. I dont know… -

I found they wont weld properly if there is a face inside somewhere as well, you might want to check it, the thick lines I think are just showing border edges for the UV's rather than what is welded and what is not.
