Thanks very much, I love the suggestions, I can draw but I'm not the most adventurous with my drawing ideas. I like the added war paint and pagenest branches it really gives it a lot more exaggeration. Good to meet another who went to Staffs, everyone I know in the industry went there too.
Hello Tom, Some great stuff in there for sure. Keep creating stuff and work a bit more on lighting. What you have is a great start, but mix it up a bit more. From room to room or scene to scene. It's kinda like you play the same note at every point. Give your environments more punch, draw the eye. Less is more, we know you…
If you share textures and materials between the pieces its ok, just make an atlas of all the textures you need for your pieces and use one (few) materials between all the pieces.. More problematic than polycount is draw count - how many draw calls your materials produce.
@EarthQuake Here's the peak (100% load) power draw of a GTX 1080 and a 6700k. If they're both being 100% utilized the total power draw between the two is 317 watts. I can't imagine that the Mobo / SSD / HDD would be more than another 100. Maybe there's something I'm missing?
for welds on this model i use the ClayBuildUp brush, chaos drawing along the place i need (it needs dense mesh), here is a result for more manufacturable welds you can use the elastic brush with drawing like that
7 x 4.5 inches i use it for sculping/texturing for the largers tablet i was mostly using my shoulder/whole arm to draw. with an smaller tablet i set the mapping to screen size so i get longer strokes drawing from my wrist/forarm with minimal movement.
Malmoe here aswell! A bunch of us are meeting up each tuesday and draw for a few hours, join the Viking Drawing Club if you want to at Stortorget 6.30 each tuesday. We usually go to a pub and talk about art while doing art and consume vast amounts of alcohol. By Odin!
a little after work doodle, getting used to my new Cintiq. Why oh why did I start with a white canvas It seems I'm really falling into a rut of drawing the same faces all the time, mayhap it's time to get back to square one and do some life drawings.
yeah I saw that whale boy before, good take, although you should probably give bobby chiu some credit as well since you based yours on his painting of the drawing.. Looks like you did a sculpt of a painting of a drawing.. http://digital-bobert.cgsociety.org/gallery/495164/
When all is said and done, no matter the amount of games I've played, or drawings I've created, writing is the one thing I can immerse myself into utterly and just have fun. Modelling and drawing's cool too, and I'm happy (and astonished) I've developed a talent with it, but I'll always love writing.
