You probably just need a shader that specifically supports an object- or local-space normalmap. The default Max FX shaders only support tangent-space IIRC.
Texture updates and imported into Unreal! I had a simple outline shader but I haven't touched the lighting or camera settings yet so those are all default still
Hello, I'm transitioning to Maya and having a bit of problems. So is there a way to set channel slider settings to ANY other position rather then Medium at startup? I want it to be Slow by default always...
By default Use Albedo Alpha is enabled, which uses the alpha channel from the albedo texture. Disable that, and it will use the alpla map you have loaded in the transparency slot.
You can just translate the shader code to Unity. These are not default features in Unreal but made using hlsl and sometimes with a help of blueprints. Good luck anyways. Interesting project.
I noticed that they set the undo to infinite by default instead of 50. I used to set them to 200 for avoiding memory leaks but i don't know if it matters anymore.
Update: Added some concepts. I think I may go with the 2nd one with aviator glasses as they look more interesting than a default-like goggle design. :)
Someone here has def. been playing with it :D edit :\ I only saw it in videos, don't own it myself - but seems to be the default texture when they browse their phones.
