I started watching my childhood cartoon The X-Men and could not help but start on a Sabertooth sculpt. I am planning on printing it and painting it once I am done. Feel free to let me know what you think. There is still a good amount of work that I want to do to it.
Excuse me a minute I need to find my jaw, I appear to have dropped it somewhere! More seriously this is some stunning work. The non soldier additions look like they were made to be printed! Will you be lowpoly/texturing these or even just painting them?
Raider: haha thanks! Moosey_G: thanks man, most of those are just zbrush screengrabs - not really fancy renders or anything! mkandersson: Thanks man! But thats as finished as its ever going to be at this point! ZacD: Thanks dude! seth. : Haha the boss does all that :P This was the most difficult one, the concept was insane…
I don't wish to dissuade you in your search, but you should read the TF Illustrative rendering pdf. It explains how and why they went in that direction. having said that, i seriously doubt you will find any game that closely matches that look. Most if not all video games on the mass market use photo texture, photo…

I really like the idea up there about knowing if you're work has that special mojo that good work has. You can definitely see when people have that spark, but just haven't quite gotten everything down yet. It's also nice to see those people with that potential become top-notch artists over time. With that said, it's just…
Breakdowns/Wires and flats is not something I can do sadly. All I have is a copy of the game and a print screen button. It might be possible if some ex-collegue at Rocksteady wants do it and are allowed to. I hope they do it at some point. There's alot of knowledge and wisdom in there from the guys. :)
Ouch, print screen should only be used if you want to paint every single highlight reflection and shadow directly into your character texture, circa 1999. And if that's the case I still suggest 3point lighting as there is no way to simulate a rim light from multiple angles in your texture.
A new Toolbag 4 beta is now available for testing! Our primary goal with version 4.05 has been to enhance the texture painting experience. We’re happy to share that we’ve added many highly-requested features, quality of life improvements, and made significant gains in performance for texture projects. You’ll also find new…
Another bug: Whenever I go in and do something hand painted (either in NDO sculpt mode or on a new layout in DDO) I get from time to time a problem that when I start a new brushstroke somewhere it draws a line to the outside of workspace. It's the same effect as if you where holding strg to get straight lines between two…
