looks good, yeah gloss is a bit wet/plasticy looking in places, what reference are you using? Im assuming crododiles? which can look surpisingly dry and have very little specular response. there is some shine to them though so yeah its a bit tricky perhaps a more natural looking lighting setup would help too? -

Hey Jessica, just out of curiosity why do you want to hand paint your normals? seems overly excessive! :D 2 hours compared to 2 minutes is a big difference in time. props to you for giving it a shot tho! I always get told off for painting my own AO! :p sry if this has already been asked! -

A place to dry his clothes, more cooking equipment, a place to prepare food,a place to bathe and clean up, a hammock, a makeshift garden, and so on. Think of everything you would create, and find useful to have around in a time like that. Maybe look up… -

My intentiion for the quick prototype was just to give you a leg up on deciding if and how the approach could work for you, then of course you go back in and build everything yourself for the training/portfolio showcase. Given time and materials, it's always nice to take a dry run at things to learn "what you don't know"… -

Well that's more reassuring, and is the kind of information that I think we need. My biggest problem with all of Valves announcements was that they were just dry old announcements with no detailed information or demonstrations to communicate their benefit to customers. I'm also not going to pretend I'm not bitter about… -

hey man thanks for replying c: sry for all my previous wrong doing haha. okay ill try that c: also do you know how exactly gi in post proccess works? theres like layer of gi that im not sure which one to change sometimes to get the nicest result, or troubleshooting which one ise useless -

I was tempted to make the rounds and see if I could find one, but I just can't justify buying one of these until I have a good HD TV and a 5.1 setup. Playing the 360 on my current gaming TV (a 14 inch Hitachi that sits next to my CRT) would be lame. That said, I can't wait to play PDZ... -

Lolwat. I run permanently overclocked and never have problems. This is the first time ever I hear someone say this about OC'ing (and i read a lot before I started). If that guy does the dry ice stuff, then sure, but if it's just a bit of boosting FSB, I'd say the only drawback is you have to invest a day or two in tweaking… -

sry to rez this thread, but I just saw it. This movie rocked and sorry to all you kirk fans out there but spock was the freaking man in this one. I was also keeping an ear out for the song on the Star Trek trailer because I luvz me some soundtracks, but I never heard it in the actual movie. Ah well, movie still kicked ass.
