money or language, which one is it? :) i'm in frankfurt, btw. and i only know london from experience, not berlin. and i would not personally want to live in london these days on less than say 70k ukp a year. not one for re-living the student lifestyle personally. -

Thanks for all your help guys :) I'm going to get myself the student version of Maya and start the process of adjusting. Some of the lecturers have also ensured me that it will pay off in the long run to have a proficiency with both packages, even if I have a preference. -

Look up individual studios. I know that Ubisoft and Blizzard both have internship/student programs. I'm sure there are more; it's often listed on their site. Respectfully email some smaller studios, too, maybe. But short answer: Yes & you'd need a promising portfolio. ;) -

I don't think Train2Game is necessarily a scam, it's just the typical crappy for-profit diploma mill correspondence course thing / recruiters paid on commission. (I mean, look at the "student gallery" on their site. Surely they would've picked better stuff to showcase if they were entirely fake?) -

Yep agreed great envio. I agree with Autocon about the clutter I would compose it more to push the story of what is going on in the scene. But for a student demo reel! awesome job! Keep up the hardwork I am sure you will get a gig soon. -

I feel for the guy. It sounds like he did what I am more or less planning on doing. The big change is: I get to cram for a year before having to answer questions from students. The 2012-2013 school year is going to be fun :poly142: -

Didn't you say this is a university project? If you're a student, you can get a free 3-year educational license. Also, you don't have to loop -- shift-clicking the align button with a ring of edges selected will automatically go through each loop for you. -

Hehe, thanks! :) I keep getting that about Deathwing, must be the jaw? Most of the inspiration actually came from D&D dragons :) Busy days lately so havent gotten much done on the dragon itself.. wish i could be a student again :P -

train2game are shit. rebellion have a deal with them that allows train2game to say that some students have gone on to work at rebellion. don't believe a word. if you want to get hired, join a mod and work on your portfolio. don't throw money away to people like this.
