Wood Face finished with turning machine
Hello Guys! I have a problem with cylindrical faces of wooden objects.When wooden object finished with turning machine, on surface of objects rings appear.Is there any way to reach this quality of texturing? Thanks -

the 2 most outer rings, just where the poles are, don't seem to contribute to the shape so much, try and remove those and see what happens. -

Customize > Customize User Interface > Keyboard tab, under "Group" set it to Editable Poly, and set a hotkey for "Select Edge Loop" and "Select Edge Ring. -

I just use ring splines and rotate them and then just work with that as a HPO You wont be able to tell if its a wrap around or just a fake.. -

looks good, now Id add some shadows underneath the two metal rings, as well as maybe a gradient that starts from the bottom and goes up... -

Huh, pretty neat. Some obvious Star Wars mixed with a little Lord of the Rings going on. But for being that, it looks nice. The glowing pollen was an excellent choice. -

That pistol grip looks uncomfortable. The front and back should be rounded and it's too big and bulky, and that big chunky ring thing around it looks pointless and uncomfortable.
