he looks like he's got a bad case of noodle-shoulders, and hsi forms in general look undefined. Could we see a wireframe, and maybe some ortho shots? textures look pretty good, though
FatAssassin's right, just lay extra wires to connect each spline to another, and apply the Surface modifier. In effect, you're building a wireframe object that resembled an editable poly, but with the added benefit of adjustable beziers and a tweakable LOD.
Hey, guys. Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it very much. I'm still working on the texture panels so I won't be showing those off until they're completely done. For now, here is the wireframe as requested.
Moving this to the P&P forums, it'll probably get more exposure here. What texture resolution were you allowed? Also, seeing some wireframe views would help to critique how the model was built.
Looks like quite an improvement. New wireframes would be nice to see. I'd say check out how the old masters painted skin, especially North Renaissance dudes- and bust out the color wheel. Luck.
he really needs a bigger penis. looks like you're still fighting with the wireframe. check out the "Average Vertices" tool, it's a good way to quickly clean up areas with distorted polygons without having to push vertices around as much.
The smoke confuses me. did some folks climb up all the way to the top of those ruined skyscrapers and made campfires there? buildings themselves look really cool though, it would be nice to see closer shots of those meshes and their wireframes.
pjl: I'm afraid the wireframe in UDK is too messy to be able to see anything but here's the wires of some of the assets. The rest is in similar resolution. The tesselation is pretty dense to allow for vertex-painting later on. And here's how the stove looks when it's in UDK:
Zbrush has a see through mode which will reveal anything behind it ..like your reference. It helps with quick ref alignments for things like faces. Go to you lowest subD and hit wireframe and put see-through to 95. Keep at it.
DAYM! Dude, I'm lovin' the level of detail you put in your textures! This is awesome! And yeah! Those lens flares! They make the world a better place! I'm interested in the wireframe of the lowpoly if you don't mind posting it. Waiting the next update!
